Well, Well Well, This could be the make or break for Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United Career. After a shameful performance midweek against FC Midjtjylland, there won’t be many positive and motivated figures in the Man Utd dressing room. This really has the potential to turn nasty, and I as a fan of Man Utd can admit I am not very excited for this tie.

Shrewsbury are coming into this game with fairly good form, WLWLDW. Their manager will no doubt have been training all week focusing on the nervy defence Man Utd currently suffer from. This is aggravating me as this issue has been going on for 3-4 years now, the Vidic-Ferdinand partnership has not been replaced. But, I’m not getting into that now!

The injury list Man Utd is currently strong, and could register a title-challenge itself! With key players such as De Gea, Rooney, Schweinsteiger all out there is going to be a lack of leadership all over. Smalling is a good centre back, but if his recent form is anything to go by he isn’t showing the leadership qualities required.

With Shaw, Valencia, Young, Rojo, Jones and Darmian missing, the defence is going to be make-shift again. Borthwick Jackson and Varela have played great considering the pressure mounted on them, but they were vulnerable midweek, caught ball-watching again and again. Donald Love also isn’t of the quality we would expect.

With Current form of LWWDLL, and all the above players missing I will not be suprised to see Shrewsbury win this tie. LVG is reaching a point now where the pressure is getting too much, and watching them week in week out you can see why. There is a lack of energy, and a definite lack of creativity.
